Set of 6 guns in resin and photo etch. For experimented modellers.
The French 13.2 mm Hotchkiss large-caliber machine gun was developed in the late 1920s and entered production at the beginning of the next decade. The weight of the rifle alone on a single mount was 37.5 kg, and on a double mount - 42.5 kg. The initial velocity of the projectile fired from this weapon was up to 800 m / s, and the theoretical rate of fire - up to 450 rounds per minute. The range of an effective shot for air targets oscillated around 3000 meters. The 13.2 mm Hotchkiss large-caliber machine gun was developed as a far-reaching development of the Mle1914 rifle from the same manufacturer. Compared to its prototype, it had, above all, a changed caliber, better parameters, and changed dimensions and weight, but the principle of the weapon was still the same. It used a sight with a front sight, and an anti-aircraft gun sight Le Prieur . It is worth noting that the weapon was not powered by tape, but by box magazines, which significantly reduced its combat capabilities. It is also worth mentioning that rifles of this type were mounted on twin and quadruple mounts. The latter were mounted on the base of the R4SM. The rifle was used extensively on Marine Nationale units as an anti-aircraft weapon at very short distances - today we would say CIWS.
